Essie Riffe Cook

Essie Riffe Cook, 88, of Falls Mills, Virginia passed away to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 21, 2019 in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Essie was born on March 08, 1931 in Wyoming County, West Virginia to the late Gabriel and Merico Lester Riffe. She was a member of the Family Worship Chapel in Bluefield, West Virginia and Essie was retired from Virginia Foods in Falls Mills, Virginia.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clewit W. Cook; one son Donald W. Cook and ten brothers and one sister.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Sandra Claypool and husband David of Thomasville, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind and host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00am at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. Curtis Honaker and Rev. Gene Green officiating the service. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia where family will be serving as pallbearers.
The Cook family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
