Ernestine Ann Wirt

Ernestine Ann Wirt, age 85, of The Maples Nursing Home, died on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at The Maples.

Born on June 30, 1932 in McComas, WV, she was a daughter of the late Renes and Hazel Beavers Wirt. She was a member of the Ceres Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Mascko and June Francis and a brother, Charles Wirt.

David Wirt of Princeton, WV

Ernestine was known as God’s Angel and always wanted to help other residents at The Maples. She loved gospel music; her favorite hymn was “Jesus Loves Me”. She loved her doll collection, also. Before moving to The Maples, Ernestine enjoyed living with her sister Evelyn. They had many good time.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 1:00 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Donald Compton officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where her family and friends will be serving as her pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
