Ernestine Phyllis Hedrick

June 25, 1932 — June 14, 2024

Ernestine Phyllis Bailey Hedrick, 91, of Mint Hill, NC, passed Friday, June 14, 2024, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. 

Born June 25, 1932, in McComas, WV, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Esther Chapell Bailey. Ernestine was a class of 1950 graduate of McComas High School, she later retired from the dietician's department at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Montcalm United Methodist Church. Ernestine had been a resident of the Charlotte area the past four years. 

In addition to her parents, Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall James Hedrick. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Harold "Bo" Shoemaker and wife Mary of Mint Hill, NC; stepson, Kenneth Hedrick of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held, Monday, June 17, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Bluewell, WV.
