Emma L. Vest Broyles, 96, of New Hope Road, Bluefield, WV, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Westwood Nursing Home in Bluefield, VA where she had lived for the last year and half. Born on September 6, 1923 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Albert G. and Fannie Morris Vest. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield, and was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herald E. Broyles; brothers, Everett Eugene Vest and wife Helen and Paul Vest; a grandson, Christopher Lee Furches, a son, Michael Chad Broyles; and a son in law, Clarence Swetnam. Survivors include three sons, Eric (Carol) Broyles of Forest, VA, Scott Broyles (friend Elizabeth) of Bluewell, Paul (Lori) Broyles of Princeton; daughters, Carolyn L. (Luther) Morris of Red Oak Ridge Road, Brenda (Everett) Severet of Sandlick, Deborah Swetnam of Tazewell, VA, Frances (Ernest) Cox, of Red Oak Ridge Road,  Christina (Dennis) Furches of Kegley; friend, Patrick Aliff; sister in law, Louise Vest, of Bradenton, FL; half-sisters, Elaine Sneed, Donna Wimmer, Ann Dix, several nieces and nephews, 19 grandchildren, Lisha, Marty, Kevin, Erica, Rick & Tina, Angie, Kurt, Jared, Shannon, Sara, Brian, Bradley, Ember, Cameron, Samantha, Amelia, Teresa, Mandy and Jennifer; 33 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 2:30 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Gerald Roberts officiating with burial following. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell on Wednesday at 2:00 PM.
