McComas- Elsie F. Huffman Bailey, 95 of McComas passed away at home with her family beside her on June 30, 2018.Elsie was born March 7, 1923 to Robert David and Corma Mae (Stevens) Huffman.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Charles (Charlie) Bailey of 48 wonderful years, Son; Jerry Dean Bailey, five brothers; Troy, Ray Glen, Albert, and Luther Huffman, and three sisters; Helen Spicer, Thelma Mitchem, and Margaret Davis.Elsie lived in McComas her entire life where she took pride in taking care of her family. She loved working in the yard and gardening. If you ever visited her you never left her house hungry because she had to feed you. Elsie will always be remembered for her kind and gentle soul.Left to cherish all her memories and words of wisdom are her son; Roger W. Bailey of the home, granddaughter; Stacey R. Bailey of Montcalm, grandsons; Brian D. Bailey of Roanoke, VA, and Charles (Chuck) W. Bailey and wife Monica of Bel Air, MD, five great- grandchildren; Kellie Dobbins and husband Drew, Alexandria Hubbard and Nicholas, Gabe and Avery Bailey, three great-great- grandchildren; Karleigh ,Emily, and Easton Dobbins, and special niece Patricia Huffman Smith.Funeral services for Mrs. Bailey will be conducted Tuesday July 3, 2018 from the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel at 11:30 A.M. with the Reverends Tom Baines and Michael Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery located in Bluewell.
