Earnestine Janet Parker

June 1, 1925 — January 28, 2019

Earnestine went to be with the Lord on January 28th 2019 while sleeping at home.

Earnestine was born on June 1st 1925 in Rock West Virginia. She was the daughter of Curtis Vest and Brookie Vest. She was raised with one sister, Janisse and one brother, James. She married Keith Parker in June of 1947. She and Keith built a home in Bluewell West Virginia where they lived together raising their two daughters. Earnestine was a stay at home mother raising her girls. Together they have 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Earnestine was an incredibly kind woman who loved her husband, friends, family, and church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and caring for her daughters and grandchildren. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Bluewell as well as the Women’s Missionary Union. One of the greatest things she loved was having a house full of loving family. In her latter years she was very grateful for the care given from Connie Martin, Tammy Kidd, Kim Matzel, as well as her son in law Donnie Dinger, and daughter Connie Dinger.

Her husband, Keith, went to be with the Lord in 2012 after 64 years of marriage. She is survived by her two daughters, Connie Dinger and Ardena Witt, their husbands Donnie Dinger and Terry Witt, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Bluewell on Thursday January 31st at 12:00 noon with ministers Rev. Jim Milam and Rev. Donnie Dinger officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where Logan Surface, Brandon Elmore, Rod Roberts, Joe Dinger, Brayden Surface, Michael Prater, Tim Moody, and Grover White will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.cravens-shires.com.
