Dwight Eugene Scott

Dwight Eugene Scott, 71 of Princeton passed away Saturday February 10, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital from complications of pneumonia.
He was born on June 22, 1946 in Princeton to the late Aubrey Lee Scott and late Madeline Helen (Hamm) Scott of Mentor, Ohio. He is also preceded in death by his brother Ronald Lee Scott of North Carolina.
Dwight was a proud Navy Vietnam Veteran. He served on the Board of Directors and was a lifetime member of the Princeton Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 628. He treasured the camaraderie of his veteran friends and family.
He worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Ohio and Illinois retiring after 35 years when he returned home to Princeton, West Virginia where he loved the hills, fishing, wildlife and woodworking.
Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 50 years, Susan A. (Garrett) Scott. Daughter Carmella K. (Scott) and Frank Rooks and son Eugene H. Scott and Tina Beall all from Ohio.
Grandchildren: Justin Dwight Rooks of Ohio, Rachel Leigh Scott and Kelsi
Nichole Scott both of Illinois and Dylan Eugene Scott of Ohio.
Great grandchildren: Taelynn “Taels” Limberg and Tinleigh “Tiny” Scott both of Illinois.
Sister, Patricia A. (Scott) and Joe Giglia, brother Douglas K. Scott both of Mentor, Ohio. Brother in-law Larry and Arleen Garrett and brother in-law Aubrey and Vickie Garrett all off Bluefield, West Virginia.
He also leaves behind his Aunt Shirley Robinette of Princeton as well as multiple generations of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.
