Dwayne "Pappy" Scott Lambert

Dwayne Scott “Pappy” Lambert, 61, of Maybeury, WV, passed Friday, February 16, 2024, at WVU Princeton Community Hospital.

Born September 19, 1962, in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late Velmer “Buddy” and Mary Mitchem Lambert. Dwayne was a resident of Maybeury for over 30 years and worked as a construction contractor. He attended Maybeury Church of God.

In addition to his parents, Dwayne was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Bessie Mitchem and Velmer and Minnie Lambert ; sons, Baron Lambert and Clayton Lawson.

Those left to cherish Dwayne’s memory are his companion, Thelma Foster of the home; son, Robert Belcher and wife Hope of Richlands, VA; daughters, Allison and Chloe Lambert of the home; special niece, Alia Sutton; siblings, Sharon Parks and husband Norman, Brandi Torres and husband Kevin, Deanna Graham and husband Bud, Jason Lambert and wife Marlene, Leon Lambert and wife Angie, Michelle Johnson and husband Randy, Jessica Lambert, Julie Brown and husband Clayton, and Tony Lambert and wife Ameneh; three grandchildren, Calvin Belcher, Cherity Belcher, and Katelyne Musick; and special friend Clyde Graham.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Abram and Rev. Kenny Bogart officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with friends and family and special friend Clyde Graham serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
