Douglas Randall "Randy" Dye, 82 years of age, from Princeton, West Virginia, died early in the morning on July 4th, 2024, in Huntington, West Virginia. He was a patient at the Hospice facility in Huntington, West Virginia.
Born April 24, 1942 in Anawalt, West Virginia, to Tobitha E. Parks Dye and John D. Dye.
Served in the United States Army and was a Veteran. Randy was a welder by trade as well as a bus driver from time to time. He was known to many, and always willing to help out, especially driving folks to where they might need to go. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Blue Grass shows, spending time with and walking the dog, old westerns - especially Gunsmoke, He enjoyed dancing, bike riding, as well as helping others. He enjoyed going to the Senior Center and helping out there.
He is survived by one sibling, Dale L. Dye of Berlin, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by parents John and Tobitha Parks Dye, siblings Lorrine Dye Farr, Leatrice Helen Dye Yates Bartlett, Wayne G. Dye, Stella N. Dye Driscoll, Muriel J. Dye Frere, Tula JoAnn Dye Knight, Wendell A. Dye, Edward Dye, Arnold Dye, Beulah Dye, Donald Dye , and John Dye, Jr. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces. Also survived by his special friend Norma Jean Mills and her nieces.
Graveside Services will be held on July 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia. Mercer County Veteran's Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
