Dorothy Janelle Lane

Dorothy Janelle Lane, 84, of Browning Lambert Mountain, Rock, WV, passed away on April 11, 2019 at her home.

Born on April 3, 1935 in Big Four, WV, she was a daughter of the late Victoria Day. She had been a resident of Rock for over 40 years and attended the Montcalm Church of God and Mt. Grove Community Church. She had formerly worked at the Dairy Queen, GlenWood Park Retirement Village, and Mercer Continuous Care.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Brown; grandchildren, Donnie Sizemore and Misty Lusk; and 3 sisters. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Thanks to her special caregivers at Hospice Compassus; and to Herman and Krista Sizemore, Tracy Lane, Tammy Brown and Emily Hurley.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastors Wayne Saunders and David Kirby officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton with family serving as pallbearers. 

Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
