Dorothy Juanita Barrett

Dorothy Juanita Barrett, 72, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at a Bluefield hospital.

Born on August 13, 1949 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Robert Perkins  and Lois Phillips. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a member of the Grace Christian Church. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Barrett; and 3 brothers, Junior, Johnny and Kenneth Phillips.

Survivors include her husband Lee Matthew Barrett of the home; 3 sons, Michael (Tammy) Perkins of Marion, VA. Jeffery (Joyce) Barrett of Welch, WV, and Rodney Barrett of the home. 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a sister Linda (James) Latham of Princeton; a brother, Danny (Roseanne) Phillips of SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
