Dorothy Darlene Hodges

Dorothy “Pip” Hodges, 70 of Bluefield, WV passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at WVU Medicine.

Pip was born on November 28, 1952, in Bluefield, WV to the late Raymond and Helen Addison. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield, WV, and was a loving homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Hodges, one great grandchild, Adalyne Rose; two sisters, Charlene Thomas and Tiny Addison, and two brothers Tommy Addison and Charles Woodie.

Survivors include children, Melissa Clower and husband, Robert of Bluefield, WV, Amanda Pennington and husband, Joe of Bluefield, WV, Christina Fitzko and significant other, Jeff Shumate of Princeton, WV; five grandchildren, Cliff, Shawn, Tyler, Leann, and Annabelle; five great grandchildren, Blakely, Paysleigh, Christian, Phynleigh, and Oliver. She is also survived by three sisters, Georgia Thomas of Stanleytown, VA, Molly Murray of Bluefield, WV, and Dee Shinault of Bluefield, WV; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 12:00 PM until time of services.
