Dorothy Mae Farley

Dorothy Mae Farley of Huntsville, AL passed away at home on February 10, 2023.  She was 99 and LOVED by all who met her. She was born July 30,1923 to James Benjamin and Ida Mae Stephenson in Bluefield, VA.

She worked in Baltimore, MD as head cashier for ACME Supermarkets until her retirement.  She was very active in the Methodist church holding various offices.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years James H. Farley Jr.

son James Jackson Farley, grandson James Joseph Farley. Sisters. Mildred Stephenson, Gertrude Tiller, Dean Slade and Gladys Tickle. Brothers Curtis Stephenson, Mayne Stephenson, Ernest Stephenson and Kenneth Stevenson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sue Carole and James Pryor Jr.

Granddaughters Denise Lesher(Everett) Natalie Marston (Christopher).

Grandson John Cornelius Jr. (Rhonda). Christopher Farley (Erica)

Great Granddaughters  Ashley Bowser(Wayne). Alexandra and Victoria Marston Brenna Farley  Great Grandsons John Cornelius lll, Bryan Lesher(Chalita)

2 Great-great granddaughters. Bella and Emma Lesher

4 Great-great grandsons. Alexander and Jasper Lesher. Gabriel and Connor Lesher

Visitation will be February 18,2023 from 1-2 P.M. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Funeral follows at 2:00 P.M.  Reverend Paul Baker will officiate.  Burial will be ln Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.
