Dorothy “Dot” Maxine Belcher, 82, of Colt Street Montcalm, West Virginia passed away peacefully Saturday, October 05, 2019 at Loving Hands Adult Care in Bluefield, West Virginia.
Dorothy was born on February 13, 1937 in Brushfork, West Virginia to the late Paris and Edna Mae Shrader. Dot was a member of the Wesley Church at Wright Mountain for the past 43 years. She was a homemaker and loved to volunteer at Cumberland Care and The Maples Nursing Home, she also supported several charities. Dot loved all types of flowers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years William “Bill” Belcher and two daughters, Teresa and Lisa Belcher. One sister Elzetta “Margaret” Mitchell.
She has one son left to cherish her memory, Sonny Belcher and wife Ann of Rock, West Virginia; two step grandchildren Dwayne and Veronica Neel and four great grandchildren, Dalton Neel, Sophia “Miss Jade” Neel, Braxton “Smiley” Brewster and Bryson Brewster. One brother, Charles “Orville” Shrader and wife Beverly of Rhode Island. Niece and nephew Donna and Charlie.
In keeping with Dot’s wishes she was cremated, and a graveside service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11:00am at Wesley Chapel Cemetery on Wright Mountain with Pastor Randy Sargent officiating the service. Those wishing to attend are asked to gather at the cemetery Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11:00am.
