Dorothy Louise Calfee

Dorothy Louise Calfee, 88, of Nichols Road Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, June 02, 2018 at her residence.
Dorothy was born on February 24, 1930 in Pageton, West Virginia to the late James Glenn Steelman and Mattie Osborne Steelman. Dorothy had been a resident of Bluefield, West Virginia for the past 66 years. She was a former member of Crozer Baptist Church and as long as her health permitted she attended First Baptist Church of Bluewell and Ashworth Baptist Church. Dorothy was a retired school secretary with the Mercer County Board of Education. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Frank Calfee and one brother Lilliard Steelman.
Dorothy leaves behind three daughters Anita Thomason and husband Richard of Bluefield, West Virginia, Marinda Morris and husband John of Conway, South Carolina and Ondeena Tilley and husband Myron of Bluefield, West Virginia. Three grandchildren Shelley Harman and husband Bill of Bluefield, West Virginia, Heather Poff and husband Rick of Princeton, West Virginia and Tiffany-Lyn Taylor and husband Bruce of Bluefield, West Virginia. Three great grandchildren Cody Harman, Chad Harman and Alex Poff. A very special caregiver Nancy Stover and a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the care they provided.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 05, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with Rev. Jim Blevins, Rev. Myron Tilley and Rev. Larry Bailey officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia where Richard Thomason, John Morris, Myron Tilley, Bill Harman, Rick Poff, Bruce Taylor, Cody Harman and Chad Harman will be serving as pallbearers.
The Calfee family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, June 04, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
