Doris Jean Burnopp, 77, of Packing Plant Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at her home.

Born on September 27, 1941 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Mae Wimmer Tabor. She had been a lifelong resident of Brushfork and was a member of the Sandlick Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Burnopp; a daughter, Bonnie Farrow; and a brother, Carl Tabor.

Survivors include:

Husband of 56 years: Donald Burnopp of the home

Daughter: Glenna (Brendan) Curran of Bluefield

4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

Sisters: Sharon Carter of Wilmington, DE
Patty Warburton of Wright Mountain

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Eddie Mabe officiating. Burial will follow at the Perdue family Cemetery in Brushfork where Richard Burnopp, Kenneth Stuart, Timmy Wimmer, Brendan Curran, Justin Curran and Jason Howard will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
