Dora Ellen Wise

Dora Ellen Wise, 92, of Princeton, WV, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at her home.

Born on December 15, 1929 in Panther, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Laurie Justice Hunt. She had been a resident of Mercer County for 47 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. Wise and 2 sons, Alvin and Kevin.

Survivors include his son, Larry (Debbie) Wise of Princeton, WV; daughters, Wilma Sue (Doug) Bailey of Wytheville, VA, Judy L. Miller of Bluefield, WV, Nancy D. Anderson of Glenwood, WV, Leah B. Meier of New Mexico and Kimberly B. Wise of Statesville, NC; 13 grandchildren, 17great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Hercey officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
