Donald Gene Graham

Donald Gene Graham, 69, of Stoney View Ave., Bluefield, WV slipped away peacefully on March 3 at his home surrounded by his wife of 20 years and his beloved pet “shorty.” Don was born on June 20, 1952 in Eckman, WV. He was a resident of Bluefield for the past 15 years. He was a hard worker in his lifetime and was a retired coal miner with US Steel, a member of the UMWA. He held other jobs at Dollar General, Family Dollar and Advance Auto.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben Graham and Laura Mitchem Graham; two sisters, Sarah Byrd and husband, Danny Byrd, and Dorothy Marshall, and husband, Melvin; 2 brothers, Lonnie Graham and Bud Graham.

He is survived by his wife, Pandora (Pammy) Rotenberry Graham of twenty years; “Shorty,” his beloved pet; son, Donnie and wife, Tina of Elizabethton, TN; daughters, Cyndi Eller and Zack of Greensboro, NC, and Phyllis Mullins and partner, Caroline McCann of Dennispart, MA; 4 grandchildren, Kayleigh and Ashton Graham, Lauren Fain “Boot head” and Logan Shipley; one special BFF, Cherece Callaway.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, March 7, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Reeves officiating. His final resting place on earth will be Grandview Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Faith, Bluefield, VA. Serving as pallbearers are David Graham, Chuck Rorrer, Billy Rotenberry, Charles Rotenberry, Jimmy Graham, Trey Graham, Greg Mitchem, and David Mullens. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Scrasky, Dwayne England, Steve Blizzard, Charles Williams, and Charles Lynch. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
