Denise Lynette Day

Denise Lynette Day, 56, of Skygusty, WV, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Welch Community Hospital.  Born December 9, 1963 in Harvey, IL, she was a daughter of Robert F. Day, Jr. and Josephine Constanazo Day of Skygusty, WV.  Denise was a resident of Skygusty all her life and was a retired secretary for the McDowell County Board of Education. 

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish Denise’s memory are her son, Kevin Kroll and wife, Melanie of Blueridge, VA; one grandson, Cayden Kroll of Blueridge, VA, two step-grandchildren, Alyssa and Haley Wash of Blueridge, VA; two brothers, Robert J. Day and wife, Michelle of South Carolina, and Danny Day and wife, Teresa of Cleveland, NC; fiancé, Terry Richards of Skygusty, WV; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M Friday, May 15, 2020 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Roger Yates officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where nephews will serve as pallbearers.  Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.cravens-shires.com.  Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, Bluewell, WV, is serving the Day family.
