Della Brown Whitt Garrison

Della B. Whitt Garrison, 93 of Kellysville WV, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at her home.  She was born December 17, 1928, in Kellysville to Albert Patton Whitt and Sylvia Maxfield Whitt.  She retired from Mercer County Schools after 20 years of service at Oakvale Elementary School.  She had been a member of Oakvale United Methodist church since 1948.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Duard L Garrison, on January 29, 2017, a son, Ronald L. Garrison, four brothers and three sisters.  She is survived by her children Glenn Garrison and his wife Sandra, Kenneth Garrison and his wife Lois, Melinda Perdue and her husband Jimmy; daughter-in-law Geri, along with ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Jean Jessee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate a life well-lived will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV, with Rev. Olen Robertson officiating the service.  Friends may call on Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
