Debra Lynn Shirley

Debra Lynn "Debbie" Shirley, 63 of Bluefield, WV passed in peace Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. Debbie was an avid animal lover caring for her cats she lovingly adored.

Born on January 21, 1956 in Iaeger, WV, to the late Harrison and Myrtle Shirley of Iaeger, WV.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Betty Hall and brother Donald Shirley. Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers: Harrison (Buddy) Shirley of Beartown, WV. Lionel Shirley and wife Carolyn of Iaeger, WV. Leonard Shirley and wife Nancy of Iaeger, WV. Harry Shirley and wife Bonnie of Peterstown, WV. Sisters: Helen Cline and husband James of Bluefield, WV. Joanne Hartman and husband Walt of Cincinnati, OH. Susan Rochelle and husband Jimmie of Summerville, SC.

The family would like to thank family friends and caregivers Lorna Bailey and Becky Tiller of Bluefield, WV as well as a host of special nieces and nephews.

The Shirley family will receive friends and family at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 5-6 pm and a "Celebration of Life" following at 6 pm with Michael A. Bradshaw officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation be made in Debbie's name to "Hospice Compassus" 1033 Mercer Street Princeton, WV 24740.
