David Wayne Trivett

David Wayne Trivett, 58, of Abbs Valley, VA, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2023.

David was born on August 7, 1964, at Welch Community Hospital in Welch, WV. David was a 1983 graduate of Mt. View High School. In 1979 David met his high school sweetheart, Nina Trivett (Miller), they later married on July 15, 1995, and had their only child, Sheyenne Trivett on December 11, 1997. David worked at Special T Manufacturing, since the company opened, with his brother-in-law and friend, Bobby Blevins for over 25 years. David was very passionate, driven, and dedicated to his career.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Effie Weaver Trivett and mother-in-law, Pansy Winebarger Miller.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 28 years, Nina M Miller Trivett of the home; daughter, Sheyenne Trivett of the home and her significant other Drew Semonco of Bluefield, WV; brothers, Lawrence Trivett Jr. and wife Dreama of Skygusty, WV, Ed Trivett of Mosheim, TN; sisters, Viana Blevins and husband Joe of Konnarock, VA, Wanda Garay of Skygusty, WV, Kathy Blevins and husband Bobby of Damascus, VA, Sue Hardy and husband Jeff of Princeton, WV, Phyllis Corley of Chilhowie, VA, Jeannie Davis of Fairlawn, VA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family to carry on his memory.

David was a lover of hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and anything to do with the outdoors. He had a passion for music playing the guitar, banjo, and mandolin. He was always listening to music, singing, and playing with the two family dogs, Keto and Swayze. Most importantly, David loved his family and spending time with his two girls, Nina and Sheyenne. He was the rock that held their family firm and steady. He will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM, Monday, July 3, 2023, at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, with Rev. Jimmy Sanson and Rev. Robert Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Azen Cemetery in Konnarock, VA, where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

A visitation will be held, Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home from 6:00-9:00 PM.
