David Wayne Rash, 50, of Bluefield, WV, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on Wednesday, May, 18, 2017. David was born in Auroa, Colorado on February 4, 1967. He was a graduate of Princeton Senior High School. David attended Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork, WV where he re-dedicated his life to Christ and was baptized by Pastor David Kirby. David spent most of his life living in West Virginia and was an Engineer employed by Norfolk Southern for nearly 30 yrs, where he was known by many as D.W. Rash. David loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and an impeccable marksman at shooting his bow. David leaves a legacy of love and integrity with his family and those who knew him. David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Arnold and Vi DesJardins and paternal grandparents TJ and Laura Rash. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Monique Rash of home; One daughter, Ariel (Aaron) Nash of Princeton, WV; One stepson Brandon (Whittney) Tabor of Bluefield, WV, Two granddaughters Melody Rash of Princeton, WV and Kendallyn Tabor of Bluefield, WV , One grandson Anakin Nash of Princeton, WV. His parents Richard and Thelma Rash of Bluefield WV. One sister Tamara (Tami) Yarger, of Bluefield, WV. Two very special aunts and uncles: Jack (Penny) Rash and Harold (Alice) DesJardins; Three neices: Desiree Smith of home, Danielle Shaver and Tiffany Yarger; two nephews: Stephen Shaver and Jared Yarger. One very special four legged friend named Koko and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor David Kirby of Deliverance Temple Church, Brushfork, WV officiating. Respectfully following David's wishes he will be cremated. Visitation will be held Sunday May 21, 2017 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.Honorary pallbearers will be E.B. Cline, Larry Kade, Kevin White, Jeff Stevers, Bobby Bishop, A. W. Carver, Rick Richards, and Doug Thompson. Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com
