David Rader Hambrick

Bluewell—David Rader Hambrick, 76, of Coke Plant Road, Bluefield, WV, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017. He passed away suddenly with his family by his side, after an extended struggle with chronic illness.Born February 23, 1941 at home in Littlesburg, WV he was the son of the late George Everett and Hattie Hambrick. David retired from the Coca Cola Bottling Company after Twenty-Five years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and loved ones. His hobbies included foxhunting and building doghouses. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Nemours, WV and a devout Christian; Dave enjoyed singing gospel music for the Lord with the Mt. Herman Singers for many years. His parents, four brothers, Junior, Randolph, John and Kenneth Hambrick and one sister Helen West, and daughter Connie Hambrick preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory include Wife of 53 years, Dolly Hambrick; Sister Naomi Caldwell of Glenwood, WV; Children; Linda Hambrick and Marlene Hambrick of Bluewell, WV; Crystal Hambrick of Princeton, WV; Stefanie and Earl Harrison of Thomasville, NC. Grandchildren include, Aimee Hambrick, Alyson Tibbs, Michelle Meadows, Rachel Hendrick, Tristan and Braylan Tilley, Patience and Kayden Dobbs; and Azayah Harrison. Great grandchildren include, Sydney, Gabe, Jeremiah, and Nehemiah. He has many other nieces, nephews, and loved ones who consider him their “PaPaw.” David, you will be greatly missed by many, gone from earth but never from our hearts. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 09, 2017 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dewayne Belcher officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, July 08, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Online condolence’s may be sent to the family at www.cravens-shires.com
