David Dennis Duncan

David Dennis Duncan, 71, of Bluefield, WV passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 Princeton Community Hospital. Born November 28, 1952 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late Willard R. and Beulah Short Duncan. He was of the Baptist faith and had given his heart to the Lord. He worked at Crossroads Chevron for most of his life as a mechanic. He had a great love for antique automobiles and car shows. He worked in the coal mines and was one of those who helped in the construction of East River Mountain Tunnel. He was owner of Auto Solutions. 

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Richard (Wink) Duncan.

Those who are left behind to cherish David’s memory are his loving wife of 31 years, Lora Ann Duncan; sister, Lisa Cameron and husband, Brian; his children, Rebecca Brewster and husband, Mike, Justin Duncan, Kelly Duncan and girlfriend, Kelli Berri, Allen Asbury and wife, Jennifer, and Crystal Proffitt and husband, Tommy; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; nephew, Brian Cameron; his loving companion, cutie pie; several aunts and uncles also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Cravens Shires Funeral Home with Rev. David Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where Calvin Proffitt and Cory Proffitt and grandsons Connor Muncy, Tyler Muncy, Logan Muncy, and Ryan Mitchell will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Duncan family.
