David Allen Cowan

David Allen Cowan, 38, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at his residence.  Born September 19, 1981 Princeton, WV, David was a son of David Cowan, Sr. and the late Phyllis Honaker Cowan.  In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Cowan; grandparents, Kathleen and Preston Sexton and Carl and Bertha Honaker.

Those left to cherish David’s memory are his daughter, Alayah Cowan; father, David E. Cowan, Sr.; Sisters, Ruthe Cowan and Kathi Cowan; brothers, Ray Brimhall, Eddie Cowan, and David Cowan, Jr. Uncles, Allan Sexton, Richard Cowan, Bobby Cowan, Davie Honaker, and aunt Brenda Hatley.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Private graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 17, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating.  There will be no public visitation.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cravens-Shires Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.cravens-shires.com.
