David Heath Barlow

David “Heath” Barlow, 47, of Bluefield, WV died unexpectantly at home on Thursday, November 26, 2020.   

Born March 30, 1973, he was the son of Jackie and Brenda Barlow. 

Growing up, Heath enjoyed life.  Growing up on Sandlick Road and in the Glenwood area he made lots of friends.  Leaving Friday nights during the summer to head to the lake for the weekend to swim, ski, and hang out with his family and camping friends.  As he grew older, the lake trips slipped away so he could play baseball, basketball, tennis and football.  Pickup football games were a staple Sunday afternoon on Sandlick Road.  He was the daredevil of the family.  Never afraid to go barreling down a hill on a skateboard or jump the creek in the yard on his dirt bike.  He would later race dirt bikes and walk away with a few trophies and broken bones.  He had some killer break-dancing moves growing up as well.  He was a 1991 graduate of Princeton Senior High School.  He loved to wrestle with his kids in the house or the yard.  He loved to joke around and have a good time.  Deep down we all knew he was a good person, a father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

He will be missed by wife Angie of Christiansburg, VA, son Derick Barlow of Bluefield, WV, daughter Nikita Barlow of Bluefield, WV, son Deven Heath Barlow of Bluefield, WV, and step-sons of Christiansburg, VA.  Grandkids:  Landon, Taytum and Gage, of Bluefield, WV, and two grandchildren in Christiansburg, VA.  He is the son of Jackie and Brenda Barlow of Bluefield, WV, brother of Jackie Barlow, II and wife Marie and their children, Shawna, Kourtney, Jackie III and Alexa of Westminster, MD and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.  Friends may call from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm.
