Darrell Clayton Sutterfield

Darrell Clayton Sutterfield, age 69, of Bluefield, WV, went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 16, 2023.                                                                                                                                       

He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Melton Sutterfield, his mother, Helen Luttrell McGriff, his brother, Michael D. Sutterfield, and brother-in-law, Richard Jones.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Jones Sutterfield “Patsy”, daughter, Bethany Jones (Ben) of Canton, GA, and son, Joshua Sutterfield, of Achworth, GA; grandchildren, Cailin Jones, Nathan Jones, and Coraline Jones; two sisters, Patsy Jones of Knoxville, TN, and Robin Partyka (John) of Seymour, TN; brothers-in-law, Michael Jones (Darlene) of Alexandria, IN, David Jones (Pam) of Bluefield, WV, Leon Jones (Tina) of Coalwood, WV, and Robert Jones (Lisa) of Bluefield, WV; niece, Missy Jones; nephews, Michael Jones, Justin Perdue, and Zachery Perdue, along with numerous cousins.

Darrell grew up in Jacksonville, FL. His favorite hobby was saltwater fishing and spending time with his extended family. He had a love for the Native America culture, which ran in his blood. He loved to watch all college football teams, except Alabama. No “roll tide” for him.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Point of Contact Ministries on 1225 Lyndale Ave., Bluefield, WV, with Dr. Eddie Johnson officiating.
