Dallas Casey Jones Wimmer

God called his son, Dallas Casey Jones Wimmer, 28, of Bluefield, WV, home on Sunday, March 1, 2020.

Casey was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He had been employed by Kroger since 2010 and was a hard worker who was loved by all who knew him. He had a huge heart and an unforgettable smile and laugh. He could light up a room and there was never a dull moment with him around. He had special memories with everyone he knew. He loved fun times and old Chevy trucks. Casey married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Desiree Mitchem Wimmer. Together, after many years of trying, God blessed them with a precious baby boy, Dallas Casey Wimmer, Jr.  in August of 2019. He also had a special place in his heart for his four-legged little buddy, Reggie Bush.

Casey was the oldest son of Gilbert and Sandy Jones Wimmer of Bluefield. He was adored and leaves a void that can never be filled. He was born on January 15, 1992 in Bluefield.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dallas and JoAnn Wimmer, Casey Jones, and Jones and Zelvia Call.

He is survived by his wife, Desiree Mitchem Wimmer and son Dallas Casey Wimmer, Jr.; parents, Gilbert and Sandy Jones Wimmer; baby brother, Daniel Chase Wimmer and wife Holly and their sons, Bentley Wimmer and Lincoln Wimmer of Yulee, FL; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and Briana Bishop who he loved like a sister.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. James Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Daniel Chase Wimmer, Bobby Gremore, Shaun Brooks, Dennis Rose, Jr., Nathaniel Triplett, Justin Tilley, Billy Johnson, McKinley Hutchens, Aaron Dalton serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
