Curtis Lawrence Price

Curtis Lawrence Price, 69, of Bluefield, VA, (Wrights Valley) passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital Bluefield E.R.

Born October 28, 1952 in Tazewell, VA, he was a son of the late Curtis Grady and Peggy Simons Price. He grew up in Springville, VA and was a 1972 graduate of Graham High School in Bluefield, VA. Lawrence was a veteran of the United States Navy, worked as a coal miner and had retired from Thistle Foundry in Bluefield, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Price.

Those left to cherish Lawrence’s memory are his wife of 44 years, Mary Beth Johnson Price; son, Justin L. Price of Bluefield, VA; special daughter, Jessica Lewis of Bluefield, VA; special granddaughter, Henzlee Lewis of Bluefield, VA; brothers, Terry Price of Springville, VA, Tony and Jeff Price, both of Bluefield, VA; sister, Shelby Hoops of Tip Top, VA; many nieces and nephews; and his furry companion, Daegan.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon McBride and Rev. Richard Moeller officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Mercer County Veteran's Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Tazewell Co. Animal Shelter, 736 Camp Joy Rd, Bluefield VA 24605.
