Curtis Coleman

Curtis Coleman, 83, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. Born on December 13, 1937 in Greenbrier, VA, he was a son of the late Howard and Ethel Boyd Coleman. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 52 years and was a member of the Montcalm Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a retired manager for Sears. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Frances Stevens Coleman; a daughter, Regina Larmamie; a brother, Lon Coleman; and a sister, Omalene Deel. Survivors include his son, Steven (Penny) Coleman of Bluefield, WV; daughters, Donna (Scott) Lee of Beaufort, SC, Malinda Rose of Johnson City, TN, Patricia (Domingo) Javier of Bluefield, WV, Sheila (David) Massingale of Bramwell, WV; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Coleman of Greenbrier, VA, and Gurvis Coleman of Greenbrier, VA; and sisters, Debbie Bentley of Norton, VA and Genette Deel of Greenbrier, VA. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Larry Roberts and Rev. Danny Bowles officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with military honors being performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call on Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
