Clifford Clinton Ellis

Clifford Clinton Ellis, 75, of Maybeury, WV, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at PCH Bluefield E.R. Born February 7, 1945 in Wharncliffe, WV, he was a son of the late Henry and Lona Ward Ellis.  He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Church of God.  In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by two sons, David and Benjamin; and one sister, Louise Terry.

Those left to cherish Clifford’s memory are his wife, Edna Baisden Ellis of the home; children, Robert Ellis (Marie) of Rock, WV, Brett Ellis and girlfriend, Brittany Belcher of Bluefield, WV, Junior Ellis (Robyn) of Isaban, WV, Timothy Ellis (Erica) of Gilbert, WV, Mickey Ellis of Wharncliffe, WV, Stevie Ellis of Gilbert, WV, Sheila Ellis of Gilbert, WV, and step-daughter, Angela Smith of WV; brothers, Jerry Ellis, Raymond Ellis, and Laurence “Dick” Ellis, all of Wharncliffe, WV; sisters, Bertha Hatfield, of Wirt Co., WV, and Judy Akers of Delbarton, WV; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.  Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Ellis family.
