Claricy Kim Hughes-Hurt, 56, of Bluefield, WV, went to her Heavenly home to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
Born August 9, 1965, in Welch, WV she was a daughter of the late Beulah Mullins Compton and John Smith. Claricy was a devoted caregiver and housekeeper in the healthcare industry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bretha Brooks; 2 brothers, Eugene Smither and Roger Compton, and one granddaughter, Nereah Miracle McMillion.
Survivors include her cherished husband of 18 years, Richard Lee Hurt of the home; daughter, Linda Kaye and fiancé Travis Easter of Peterstown, WV; son Darren (Elizabeth) Hughes of Rocky Mt., VA; 3 step-daughters, Tiffany Hurt & fiancé Will Ball, Shantell (Matt) Dotson, and Kimberly Hurt and fiancé Billy Honaker all of Welch, WV; 5 grandchildren, Steven Green, Autumn, Braydyn, and Colton Huges, and Marirk Hughes; 6 step-grandchildren, Joseph, Addie, Brooklyn, Gabe, Owen, and Abel; and one brother, Ralph (Evlyn) Smith. A host of nieces and nephews and special cousin, Donald Clemens.
Visitation will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 12:00-2:00 PM. There will be no service, in keeping with Caricy’s wishes she will be cremated.
