Our precious dad, Clarence W. Stephenson, Jr., 89, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 18 and left us all with broken hearts. He joined our precious mother Maxine (Tommy) and beloved son, Clarence, III and many loved ones and friends.
Timothy 2-: I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course and I have kept the faith. We are confident I say and willing to be absent from the body to be present with the Lord.
He loved everyone and was willing to help anyone.
He is the son of Clarence W. Stephenson, Sr. and Lena Mae Lowery Stephenson. Along with his parents, he joins brothers John, Norman, Billy, Roy, Dan, James; and sister, Annie and many other relatives and friends.
He is survived by sons, Jerry, Mark, and Timmy (Joyce) ; and daughter’s Cleavie (Billy), Wanda (Robbie), Connie (Roger) Amanda and Danielle; brothers, Robert , Joe and Ralph; sisters, Pauline and Rachel; several; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great grandchildren; special caregiver, Tammy Stephenson.
Private services will be held. Resting place will be at the Moore Cemetery in Boissevain, VA. Pastor James Mooney will officiate.
Roger Smith, Jr., Richard Smith, Billy Neal, Harry Ratliff, Austin Reed, and Isaac Sterling will serve as pallbearers.
