Charlotte Lee Cline Rose of Bluefield, WV lost her battle with cancer on Friday, November 16, 2018 with her son, Jeff and granddaughter, Emilee, by her side. Charlotte was born June 3, 1941 at Big Branch to the late Howard and Evelyn Cine. Some her most fond memories were growing up in Big Branch with her siblings and cousins. She loved to talk about the things they did, the memories they made and the fun they had.
After graduating from Baileysville High, Charlotte, NC she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she worked for a Chevrolet dealership. She met the love of her life, Elisha Rose while in Columbus. They married and lived the Air Force life moving several times including a year in the Philippines. After Elisha retired from the service, they made their home in Ikes Fork. Charlotte could he the funniest person in the room. She had a funny word or saying for almost everything. Although she was funny, if she got mad we all knew to run for the hills. She loved looking at old pictures and watching westerns on television. After moving to Bluefield she loved talking on the phone with her family and friends.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Elisha Rose, daughter Lisa Rose, companion Charlie Roark, parents Howard and Evelyn Cline, brother Bob Cline, two brothers in law Arden Lester and Steve Toler, After Lisa’s death and Charlotte’s life was never the same.
Charlotte is survived by her son Jeff Rose, granddaughter Emilee Rose of Bluefield, sisters Thelma Lester, Susan Toler, Sharon Cline and her husband Tom all of Hanover, Patricia Hatfield and husband Junior of Woodbridge, Va., brother Mark Cline of Myrtle Beach, SC and sister in law Senator Sue Cline of Brenton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral in Bluewell with Rev. James Cline officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where pallbearers will be her family and friends. Friends may call on Monday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service.
