Charles Clinton Thompson, 65, of Montcalm, West Virginia passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at his residence.
Charles was born on October 02, 1954 in Mercer County, West Virginia to the late Charles “Bug” Thompson, Jr. and Lillian Beckner Thompson. Charles had been a resident of Montcalm, West Virginia for most of his life. He was an active member of the Montcalm Pentecostal of Holiness Church in Montcalm, West Virginia. Charles retired from the coal mines after twenty years underground, he was also a former employee of Bluefield Beverage in Bluefield, Virginia and Radford Arsenal in Radford, Virginia. Charles was an avid NASCAR fan and he was a Dale Earnhardt fan.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Gwen Jones Thompson of the home; son, Craig Thompson of Montcalm, West Virginia; step son, Wayne Bailey Jr. and wife Stephanie of Rock, West Virginia; Step-daughter, Farrah Bailey Sizemore of Montcalm, West Virginia; Brother, Chris Thompson of Alabama and sister Carol Amos and husband Robert of Salisbury, North Carolina. Charles is also survived by three step grandchildren, Sarah Call and husband Michael; Savanna and Ayden Bailey and two step great grandchildren, Shelby and Brooklyn Call.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia at 7:00 pm with Rev. Larry Roberts officiating the service.
The Thompson family will receive friends and relative on Monday, December 23, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
