Charles Russell Shrader

Charles Russell Shrader, 80, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at his home. Born October 23, 1941 in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Cleo Luther and Edna Lula Taylor Shrader. Charles was a member of the Ceres Baptist Church and was retired from the railroad. Charles was a very proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Shrader. Those left to cherish Charles’ memory are his wife, Anna Lee Akers Shrader of the home; sons, Timothy Shrader and wife, Sandra of Princeton, WV, and Jodi Witham and wife, Nadine of Dallas, GA; daughter, Lee Anna Shultz of Bluefield, WV; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. James Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens where family and friends will serve at pallbearers. The Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
