Charles Edward Kiser, 89, of Wolfe, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his home. Born July 15, 1931 in Abingdon, Virginia, Charles was a son of the late Fletcher and Martha Miller Kiser. He was a retired coal miner, member of the UMWA, and a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Korea. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice Kennedy Kiser.
Survivors include his son, Henry Kiser of Wolfe, WV; step-son, Dennis Vanover and wife, Gaye Lee of Iaeger, WV; step-daughter, Sharon Peaks and husband, Freddie of Princeton, WV; daughter-in-law, Linda Vanover of Iaeger, WV; sister, Barbara Kennedy of Richlands, VA; and one grandchild.
Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Garland officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with James Scott, Joseph Scott, Billy Scott, and Ryan Houtz serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Kiser family.
