Charles Duane Greer

Charles Duane Greer (Sleepy), 52, of Anawalt, WV, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at his home. Born September 18, 1969 in Welch, WV, he was a son of Margaret Danaze Mitchem Greer and the late Charles Wayne Greer. He attended Longpoint Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver and mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father.

Those left to cherish Charles’ memory are his mother, Margaret Danaze Mitchem Greer of Anawalt, WV; his significant other, Patricia Reed-Orell of the home; daughter, Lakyn Greer of Bluefield, WV; and step-sons, Greer Orell of Lexington, NC, and Jesse Orell of Bluefield, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where Lance Miller, Cody Miller, Kevin Keys, Jessie Lane, Sidney George and T.J. Littleton will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.  Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Greer family.
