Cecil Lowell Patrick

Cecil Lowell Patrick, 88, of Falls Mills passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2025. Born in Horsepen, Virginia, the only son of the late Lewis J. Patrick and Sally Gillespie Patrick. He was a member of the Horsepen Church of Christ and a graduate of Tazewell High School. He is proceeded in death by three sisters and their husbands: Freda and Bill Taylor, Vivian and JD Atwell, Billie Sue and Earl Davidson, Brother-in-law: Ernest Bowman and niece: Linda Taylor Johnson. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Betty Bowman Patrick, and sister Sandra G. Bowman, nephews: Mark Taylor and wife Lauren, Joseph Atwell and wife Kathy, Richard Davidson and Charlie Bowman and wife Amy, nieces Becky Bowman, Karen Davis, and Sandra L. Bowman. He was an Army Veteran, serving his time at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. He was employed at Bluefield Supply for 30 years and retired at Hal-Bow Mining Repair at age 69. His love of gardening was legendary throughout Falls Mills, raising beautiful flowers and vegetables for nearly seven decades. He loved working outdoors and being with his family. He leaves behind many friends with great memories. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Ron Tabor, Minister of Falls Mills Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens where nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
