Cecil Gale Case

Cecil Gale Case, 87, of Wytheville, VA, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Mountain Laurel Rehab and Nursing in Rural Retreat, VA. Born February 8, 1936, in Charleston, WV, he was a son of the late Cecil and Ida May Gladwwell Case. Cecil was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Wytheville, was a salesman and construction worker, and a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by a wife, Opal Case. Those left to cherish Cecil’s memory are his wife, Patricia LaValley Case of the home; sons, Thomas Case (Regina) of Lynchburg, VA, Todd Case of Lynchburg, VA, and Wes Case of SC; daughter, Pamela Johnson of Bluefield, WV; brother, James Case of Columbus, OH; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Davis and Rev. Aaron Davies officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The Mercer County Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the times of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Case family.
