Carolyn Michele Browning

Carolyn Michele Shaw Browning, 63, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Michele was the younger daughter of parents George H. and Betty Shaw and the sister of Sharon Lester. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Michele is preceded in death by her husband Paul Browning and her father George H. Shaw.

Michele was a resident of Princeton, WV and employed at Labcorp at the time of her passing. She enjoyed spending time with family, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, listening to gospel and bluegrass music, crafting and scrapbooking. Michele's family and friends will remember her love for the Lord, her generosity toward others, and her whimsical style and personality.

Michele is survived by a large and loving family including her mother, Betty Shaw of Princeton, WV and sister, Sharon Lester of Princeton, WV. Michele is also survived by her son Eric Lester and his wife, Kelly of Princeton, WV, daughter Brittany Massaroni of Columbus, OH, and stepson Chris Browning and his wife, Vanessa of Kernersville, NC. Michele will also be greatly missed by her five grandchildren, Megan Lester, Peyton Lester, Arianna Edwards, Kobe Edwards, and Dakota Akers and her nieces Angela Jones, her husband Chuck and daughters Kameron Whittaker and Makenzie Whittaker of Princeton, WV and Andrea Lester and her husband Sean Parrish of Oceanside, CA.

Services will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tommy Saddler officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where Eric Lester, Chris Browning, Dakota Akers, Matt Gibson, Jeremy O'Donnell, and James Hicks will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
