Carol Farmer Quesenberry, 57, of Bluefield, WV, lost her battle with cancer early on Thursday morning, May 16, 2019. Carol was married to the love of her life, Terry Quesenberry also of Bluefield.
Born in Welch, WV, Carol was a 1979 graduate of Mt. View High School. A lifelong learner, she followed this with a Bachelor of Science degree at Alderson Broaddus College and graduate studies at West Virginia COGS. Carol loved Jesus Christ, her family (and especially her mother), tennis, her church activities, a good carrot cake, Hallmark Christmas movies, a good (or bad) cup of tea, and pretty much every animal she ever met. She was a servant of all and a stranger to none. She started her career in social work at Southern Highlands and spent the last several years at ResCare in Princeton, WV. Both on and off the clock, she spent a lifetime making sure that everyone she met knew how much they mattered to her.
Carol is survived by her husband, Terry; her mother, Shirley Farmer of Bluefield, WV; her brother Raymond (Sarah) Farmer of Atlanta, GA; her brother Dr. Richard (Kim) Farmer of Bluefield, VA; three step daughters – Tiffany (Doug) Jones, Tonya Quesenberry, and Raegan (Jude) Kotsko; her niece Leah Farmer and nephew Joshua Farmer; her grandchildren Turner & Maggie Jones and Zoe & Dominic Kotsko; her sweet puppies Gucci and Malachi; and more friends than could ever be listed.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Baptist Church, 401 Virginia Avenue, Bluefield, VA 24605 with Rev. Bill Lykins officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell and on Monday one hour prior to services at the church.
Flowers are appreciated but you can also make a donation to Southern West Virginia Animal League’s account through All Creatures Veterinary Clinic (304) 425-9944 in honor of Carol.
