Carol Jean Cartwright

Carol Jean Cartwright, 85, of Hemlock Hill, Bluefield, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at her home,

Born on October 7, 1932 in Pocahontas, VA, she was a daughter of the late Duff and Evelyn Thompson Slagle. She had formerly lived in Leckie but had lived the past 11 years in Bluefield. She was a member of the Leckie Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey E. Cartwright.

Son: Bobby J. (Cherri) Cartwright of Bluefield

2 grandchildren: Landon Cartwright and Kaitlyn Mitchem

1 great granddaughter: Azlyn Sofia Jarrell

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 3:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Chaplain Marquinta Cox officiating. Burial will follow at the Cartwright Family Cemetery in Leckie with friends and family serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Monday from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
