Carol Lee Aniel

Carol Lee Aniel, 78, of Skating Rink Hollar Road in Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at her residence.
Carol was born on May 31, 1940 in Sandlick, West Virginia to the late Virgil and Lena Terry Shrader. She had been a lifelong resident of Sandlick and was a member of the Roger Street Community Church. Carol was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arnold “Monk” Fletcher Aniel and three children two sons Brian Hazelwood and Steven Hazelwood and her daughter Kathy Burns.
She is survived by her son Jeffery Aniel and wife Teresa of Bluefield, West Virginia, granddaughter whom she raised Amber Thomas of Aiken, South Carolina; two brothers Wesley Shrader and wife Julia of Yards, Virginia and Eugene Shrader and wife Betty of Bluefield, West Virginia and one sister Judy Brown of Bluefield, West Virginia. Three grandchildren Chad Blevins of Aiken, South Carolina, Amanda Mitchem of Weirton, West Virginia and Fletch Aniel of Bluefield, West Virginia. Seven great grandchildren Preston Reed of Aiken, South Carolina, Alyssa Bates of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Berklee Thomas of Aiken, South Carolina, Jared Mitchem of Germany, Hannah Mitchem of Weirton, West Virginia, JaMeelah Aniel of Bluefield, West Virginia and Ashley Goodwin.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. Albert Mitchem, Rev. Eugene Pennington and Rev. Steve Pendleton officiating the service. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton, West Virginia where Chris Thomas, Chad Blevins, Preston Reed, Fletch Aniel, Todd Peck and Steve Pendleton will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Wayne Lester.
The Aniel family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
