Carnell Gregory

Carnell Gregory, 88, of Bluefield, WV, formerly of McDowell County, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Mercer Healthcare Center. Born July 20, 1935 in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late Stephen and Lula Wade Gregory. In addition to his parent he was preceded in death by five brothers, Randolph L. Gregory, Sonnie Gregory, Waymond Gregory, Stephen Gregory, and William Gregory; and three sisters, Mabel Gregory, Hazel Gregory Cockrell, and Evaline Gregory. Carnell loved working outdoors and had retired from Elkhorn Valley Wholesale.

Those left to cherish Carnell’s memory are his nephews, Leonard Gregory and wife Regina of Maybeury, WV; Tyrone Gregory of Kyle, WV, and Maurice Gregory of Bluefield, WV; a host of other nephews and nieces also survive.

In keeping with Carnell’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no public services. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Gregory family.
