Carl Wesley Shrader

Carl Wesley Shrader, 71, of Sparrow Drive, Falls Mills, VA, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Born on February 10, 1949 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late Virgil and Lena Terry Shrader. He had been a resident of Falls Mills for 3 years and was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired branch manager for Fairmont Supply in Bluefield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Lee Aniel, Judy Brown, and his first wife, Sarah Holbrook Shrader.

Survivors include her wife, Julie Thompson Shrader of the home; sons, Rodney Shrader of Nemours, WV and Steven Shrader of Nemours, WV; stepsons, Michael Farley of King, NC and Ronald Farley of Princeton, WV; stepdaughter, Teresa Byars of Bud, WV; brother, Eugene (Betty) Shrader of Bluefield, WV; 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Shawn Shrader and several step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 10: 30 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services, from 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home.
