Brian Dale Perkins, 66, of Nemours, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA.
Born on December 30, 1957 in Bluefield, he was a son of Jeanette Lintner Perkins of Montcalm and the late Vincile O’Dell Perkins. He was a graduate of Montcalm High School and earned his B.S. in elementary education from Bluefield State College. He was a retired school teacher with Mercer County Board of Education and worked at Robin's Nest Furniture and Finds in Brushfork. He attended the Bluefield First Church of the Nazarene and also Deliverance Temple in Brushfork.
He was an accomplished author and a talented artist. He was a beloved teacher, loved by all of his students, both his elementary students and the adults he taught in church.
One of his favorite hobbies was photography. He went on many excursions with his friend, Buck, and took many beautiful pictures.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his former wife and best friend, Kimberly Perkins of Montcalm; God-Daughter, Ameneh Lambert of Montcalm; grandson, Aidan Lambert of Montcalm; and Sister, Sharon Blackwell and husband James of Montcalm.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 7:30 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastors C. Sherrill Michael and David Kirby officiating.
Friends may call prior to services; from 6:00-7:30 on Thursday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday at 12:00 Noon at Roselawn Mausoleum in Princeton. Those wishing to attend should meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home at 11:30AM.
