Brenda Kay Sturgell

Brenda Kay Sturgell, 67, of Thorpe, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Born on September 16, 1952 in Welch, she was a daughter of the late James and Nellie Morgan Finley. Brenda was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and was a retired supervisor for the State of West Virginia’s Division of Health and Human Resources.

Those left to cherish Brenda’s memory are her husband, Richard Sturgell of the home; son, Kevin Sturgell and wife, Jamie of Thorpe, WV; daughter, Kimberly Wright, and husband, Barry, Jr. of Bluefield, VA; two brothers, Doug Finley of Bluewell, WV, and Dallas Finley and wife, Jessie of Pembroke, VA; and five grandchildren, Garrett, Grant, and Anna Wright and Blane and Levi Sturgell; and several nieces and nephews.

Private memorial services are being scheduled with Rev. Ronald Felts officiating.
