Brenda Joyce Rose

Brenda Joyce Rose, 76, of Pageton, WV, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. “There is no power in all the earth to match the power of Jesus, and no life without him” Born February 23, 1948 in Welch, WV, she was a daughter of the late Robert Douglas and Geneva Gabriel Jones. Brenda was a resident of the Skygusty community for 41 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at McDowell Continuous Care for 18 years and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She loved Jesus and enjoyed reading his Word. She had a faith that was indescribable. Brenda is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ernest “Ernie” Rose, Sr.

Those left to cherish Brenda’s memory are her children, Tammi Steele (Joe) of Maybeury, Kevin Rose (Paula) of Bluefield, WV, Ernest Rose, Jr. (Nicole) of North Carolina, and Angela Mulkey (Bucky) of Skygusty, WV; sister Peggy Kress of Florida; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, March 18, 2024 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Crabtree officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Rose family.

This will never be goodbye, just a “see you later alligator.”
